There’s a good reason why online learning has grown as rapidly as it has. It’s convenient, flexible, and in many cases more affordable than a campus-based education. But a large number of online students fail to get the most out of their educational experience. Why? Because online learning is very different from on-site learning, and it requires a different mode of learning.  

Online students need to have discipline and commitment even more than their traditional counterparts. Gone are the times when the professor singles you out in class because it was obvious you didn’t do your reading.  With online learning, the onus is on the student to complete the work within the given timeframe and to hold themselves accountable.
